Grand Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath Held in Ajmer in the Dignified Presence of Assembly Speaker

Ajmer – A magnificent Rath Yatra (chariot procession) of Lord Jagannath was organized on Sunday by ISKCON Ajmer. Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani graced the occasion as the chief guest and flagged off the procession from Kesarganj Circle.

On this occasion, Speaker Devnani said that the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is a symbol of our rich cultural heritage. “Lord Jagannath is not only the deity of Puri but the Lord of the entire world,” he said. The chanting of Hare Rama-Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare, Hare Krishna-Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare has brought spiritual upliftment to millions. Such grand religious processions and festivals contribute significantly to strengthening Sanatan Dharma. They are emblematic of our vibrant cultural legacy and promote harmony and unity among all communities. He appreciated the organizers for their efforts and expressed happiness that this was the fourth time the Rath Yatra was being held in the holy city of Ajmer.

The grand procession began at Kesarganj Circle and saw thousands of devotees participating with great enthusiasm. The chariot traveled through prominent locations including Padav, Pan Dariba, Clock Tower, Madar Gate, Gandhi Bhawan, Chudi Bazaar, Naya Bazaar Chaupad, Agra Gate, Fawwara Circle, Bajranggarh Chauraha, and Ana Sagar Chaupati, finally concluding at Vaishali Nagar.

The event featured beautifully decorated tableaux depicting the life and teachings of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and devotees pulled the chariot of Lord Jagannath with ropes in a display of devotion. At various points along the route, devotees welcomed the procession with offerings and celebrations, filling the atmosphere with devotional fervor.

The district administration made special arrangements for security and traffic management to ensure that the event proceeded smoothly and devotees faced no inconvenience.
