“Bahuda Yatra 2024” ends with Lord Jagannath and siblings’ return to Shree Mandir.

In Bhubaneswar today, Lord Jagannath and His divine siblings, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, return triumphantly to the Shree Mandir, concluding their 9-day journey to the Shree Gundicha Temple initiated by the world-renowned Rath Yatra.

With meticulous planning by the district administration, stringent security measures are in place to ensure the safety of devotees during the revered ‘Bahuda Yatra’ of the Trinity. The sacred journey begins with noon rituals and the traditional ‘Pahandi’ procession, followed by the chariot pulling commencing at 4 pm.

Upon arrival at the Shree Mandir, customary rituals will adorn the holy chariots, marking the final phase of the Bahuda Yatra as the deities return amidst the devoted fervor of millions. Traffic and parking arrangements have been meticulously organized to manage the large congregation of devotees gathering to witness this grand festival.

During the Bahuda Yatra, the chariots will pause at the Mausima Temple, where Lord Jagannath and His siblings will receive offerings of ‘poda peetha’, a beloved delicacy of the Lord.
