Improved Academic Standards in Rural Schools

Positive Impact of Teacher Rationalization in Remote Areas

Raipur : The teacher rationalization process initiated by the state government is now showing promising results in rural areas as well. Under this initiative, qualified teachers are being deployed to schools where they are most needed, significantly enhancing the quality of education in villages.

One such example is the High School in Daniya, located in the Dhamdha block of Durg district. Here, four subject-specific teachers have recently been appointed under the rationalization scheme. This has ensured that students now receive quality instruction in subjects such as Science, Mathematics, Social Science, and English. Hiteshwari, a Class 10 student, shared that due to a shortage of teachers earlier, classes for many subjects were irregular. However, with new appointments, the learning environment has drastically improved.

According to the school administration, the rationalization process has brought a much-needed balance to teacher availability. With trained educators now present for each subject, students are benefiting from better academic guidance. This has also led to a noticeable increase in student attendance. The school principal emphasized that this initiative is a major step toward uplifting the standard of education, especially in rural and underprivileged areas. Students can now attend all subject classes regularly and no longer require external tuition or support.

It is worth noting that the rationalization policy aims to redeploy teachers effectively, ensuring their presence in institutions where the demand is high. This initiative is not only strengthening educational outcomes but also shaping a brighter academic future for rural students across the state.
