Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Reviews Development Works in Baramati

Emphasizes Innovation in Project Planning and Timely Completion

Baramati : Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of the district, Ajit Pawar, conducted a detailed inspection of various ongoing development projects in Baramati town today. He instructed officials to ensure that all works are high-quality, durable, and completed within the scheduled time. He also emphasized that project plans should incorporate innovative ideas and suggested involving expert architects and experienced professionals in the planning process.

During the visit, Deputy CM Pawar inspected key sites including Teen Hatti Chowk area, the Sub-Divisional Officer and Tehsildar residences, the pedestrian bridge railing and fountain design at Lakefront Park, the weaving deck, the Urdu school construction, the sports complex, and the rest house of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). He received updates from concerned officers at each location.

To address traffic congestion in the Teen Hatti Chowk area, Pawar directed the municipal council and police administration to implement corrective measures. He also called for strict action against encroachments in the city and asked officials to ensure cleanliness in canal-side areas. For the area around the Natraj Theatre, he suggested planting low-height trees to enhance the landscape.

Regarding the pedestrian bridge at Lakefront Park, he stressed that its design should not obstruct water flow. The bridge should accommodate a 7-meter road with a 3-meter footpath on each side, and the structure must withstand heavy vehicle movement. Additionally, a signboard should be installed near the artists’ corner in the vicinity.

For the development of the Urdu school, Pawar emphasized the need to include infrastructure facilities for both students and teachers. The plan should cover an attractive entrance gate, parking space, internal roads, a protective wall, a stage for cultural events, and a playground. All necessary approvals must be obtained. He also directed officials to expedite the construction of a Shaadi Khana (wedding hall) for the Muslim community.

Pawar instructed that all pending work in the sports complex area be completed on time. To ensure ample natural lighting, the walls should be painted accordingly. He also highlighted the need to prevent water accumulation on the footpaths inside the MIDC rest house and advised placing name boards at the entrance, leveling the ground around the premises, and conducting maximum tree plantation in the area.
