CM Dhami Vows Corruption-Free Uttarakhand at Dehradun Felicitation Ceremony

Pushkar Singh Dhami leads public pledge against corruption, highlights government’s zero-tolerance approach

Dehradun – Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a felicitation ceremony organised by religious and social organisations in Balliwala, Dehradun on Sunday, in recognition of his efforts toward building a corruption-free Uttarakhand. During the event, he administered a public pledge to support the vision of a corruption-free state.

Addressing the gathering, CM Dhami described the honour not just as a personal accolade, but as a celebration of the collective resolve to root out corruption in Uttarakhand. “This is the honour of the 1.25 crore citizens of Uttarakhand who stand for honesty, transparency, and accountability,” he said. He emphasised that the ongoing crackdown on corruption is not a personal victory but a reflection of the public’s trust and youth’s aspirations.

He highlighted several reforms under his administration’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption, including the implementation of advanced technology to ensure transparency—such as online transfer procedures, monitoring of recruitment examinations, CM Helpline 1905 for grievances, and anti-corruption complaints via 1064.

Dhami revealed that over the past three years, more than 200 individuals involved in corruption have been jailed. Over 24,000 government jobs have been provided in the last four years, underscoring the government’s commitment to fairness in public service.

He also outlined significant legal reforms: enforcement of the Uniform Civil Code in the state, stringent anti-cheating laws for exams, and tough actions against illegal conversions, land jihad, and love jihad. He said these initiatives have strengthened the governance framework and demonstrated that strong political will can overcome any challenge.

Highlighting “Operation Kalnemi,” the CM said that over 200 suspicious individuals, including illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators, have been identified and apprehended. He appealed to the public to report any suspicious activities to the police immediately.

Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s motto, “Na khaunga, na khane doonga” (Will neither take nor allow corruption), Dhami reiterated his government’s resolve to establish a transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance model. The goal, he said, is to make Uttarakhand not only corruption-free but also culturally enriched and one of the most progressive states in India.

The event was attended by MLA Shri Khajan Das, Swami Chidanand Saraswati, Shri Kishan Giri Maharaj, Shri Rakesh Oberoi, Shri Pankaj Gupta, and representatives from various religious and social organisations.
