29 Fewer Cases Reported in Serchhip District in 2025 (Jan–July) Compared to Same Period in 2024

Serchhip : A Crime Review Meeting was held today at the SP Chamber in Serchhip, chaired by Serchhip SP Pu Gavit Gogna, to review the crime situation and ongoing law enforcement activities across various police stations in Serchhip District.

During the meeting, it was reported that from January to July 2025, a total of 72 cases were registered across Serchhip District, compared to 101 cases during the same period in 2024—showing a decline of 29 cases.

According to the report, 76 individuals have been arrested in connection with criminal activities between January and July 2025. Out of the registered cases, 24 resulted in convictions through court proceedings.

The Crime Review Meeting was attended by Officers-in-Charge (OCs) and 2nd OCs from the three police stations in the district: Serchhip PS, Thenzawl PS, and N. Vanlaiphai PS. Discussions focused on strengthening law and order measures, improving enforcement strategies, and ensuring effective and committed policing throughout the district.
