357 Veterinary Clinics Across Maharashtra to Get New Buildings – Animal Husbandry Minister Pankaja Munde

Mumbai : Under the dynamic and planned leadership of Maharashtra’s Animal Husbandry Minister Pankaja Munde, 357 veterinary clinics across the state will receive new buildings. A total provision of ₹458.41 crore has been made under the District Annual Plan for construction, renovation, sanitation facilities, and procurement of essential equipment.

Since taking charge of the Environment and Animal Husbandry Department, Minister Pankaja Munde has initiated several impactful decisions. After Maharashtra became the first state in India to accord animal husbandry the status of an agricultural enterprise, she has now approved the construction of new buildings for veterinary clinics across the state.

These new buildings will be constructed across 34 districts in all seven revenue divisions of Maharashtra. The financial allocation includes:

  • ₹287.76 crore for new building construction
  • ₹121.12 crore for renovations
  • ₹25.17 crore for toilet facilities
  • ₹24.36 crore for equipment procurement
    Total: ₹458.41 crore

These works have been proposed under the District Annual Plan for the financial year 2025–26.


Beed District to Receive 24 Clinics with ₹9.40 Crore Funding

In Beed district, spread across its six assembly constituencies, 24 veterinary clinics will receive ₹9.40 crore for infrastructure development.


Division-Wise Distribution of Veterinary Clinics Receiving New Buildings:

  • Mumbai Division (Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg): 13 clinics
  • Pune Division (Pune, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Kolhapur): 125 clinics
  • Nashik Division (Nashik, Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar): 55 clinics
  • Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division (Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed): 51 clinics
  • Latur Division (Latur, Nanded, Dharashiv, Hingoli): 39 clinics
  • Amravati Division (Amravati, Akola, Buldhana, Washim, Yavatmal): 38 clinics
  • Nagpur Division (Nagpur, Bhandara, Wardha, Chandrapur, Gondia, Gadchiroli): 36 clinics

In total, 327 locations have been allocated funds specifically for the construction of new buildings.

This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening rural veterinary healthcare infrastructure and supporting livestock-based livelihoods across Maharashtra.
