CM Bhajanlal Sharma Inaugurates ₹1,000 Crore Development Works in Kekri, Announces Massive Tree Plantation Drive on Hariyali Teej

Jaipur : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced a major development boost for the Kekri Assembly constituency, inaugurating and laying the foundation for projects worth over ₹1,000 crore. Addressing a public event in Ajmer’s Kekri, the CM highlighted that the state government is accelerating development across all 200 constituencies, with budget allocations ensuring Rajasthan’s rapid growth.

He emphasized that the state is committed to transforming every sector, from infrastructure to livelihoods, in line with the “Developed India – Developed Rajasthan 2047” vision. The Chief Minister also reiterated the state’s priority towards uplifting the poor, farmers, women, and youth.

Major Highlights from CM’s Address:

  • Massive Green Drive on Hariyali Teej:
    Inspired by PM Modi’s “One Tree for Mother” campaign, the CM announced an ambitious plantation target of 10 crore saplings this year, with a long-term goal of 50 crore in five years. Citizens were encouraged to plant at least one tree to contribute to environmental conservation.
  • Progress in 1.5 Years Surpasses Previous Govt’s 5-Year Term:
    CM Sharma shared comparative data demonstrating significant achievements:
    • 253 lakh meters of fencing and over 32,000 farm ponds developed.
    • 55 veterinary hospitals upgraded to first-grade (vs. 48 under previous government).
    • Power generation capacity increased by 4,270 MW.
    • 4,598 CCTV cameras installed across public spaces.
  • Water Conservation Drive:
    Under “Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan-Jan Abhiyan”, over 42,000 water bodies were cleaned with participation from nearly 2.5 crore people. Various water supply projects such as Ramjal Setu Link, Yamuna Water Agreement, and IGNP Canal were also highlighted.
  • Support to the Marginalized:
    Through the Deendayal Antyodaya Samarthan Fortnight, lakhs of people received relief via camps addressing land, inheritance, and encroachment issues. A new “Poverty-Free Village Scheme” aims to uplift 10,000 BPL villages.
  • Inaugurated Projects in Kekri:
    • ₹423 crore water supply system under Jal Jeevan Mission.
    • ₹300 crore cluster pumping and distribution system for 157 villages.
    • ₹291 crore Bisalpur Dam Package-2 transmission and electro-mechanical works.
    • ₹200 crore road construction and upgradation.
    • Inauguration of 26 newly developed roads.
  • Youth & Employment:
    • 75,000+ government job appointments already made.
    • 81,000 vacancies announced and 26,000 job advertisements published.
    • Target to provide 4 lakh government jobs.
    • Financial benefits under PM-Kisan increased to ₹9,000.
    • 17 lakh+ women trained under Lakhpati Didi Yojana.
    • Distribution of 33,000 scooters and over 10.5 lakh bicycles to girls.
  • Future Development in Kekri:
    CM Sharma listed key initiatives including upgradation of hospitals, establishment of colleges, new municipality status for Tantoti, and land allocation for a 132 KV GSS in Bandanwada.

Other Leaders’ Remarks:

Speaker Vasudev Devnani appreciated the 10 crore sapling target under the Hariyali Rajasthan initiative. Deputy CM Dr. Premchand Bairwa praised CM Sharma’s visionary leadership, stating Rajasthan is emerging as a national leader in water, power, health, and employment.

Before the ceremony, CM Sharma visited a blood donation camp and planted a peepal tree on the premises. The event was attended by ministers, MLAs, senior officials, and thousands of citizens.
