President, Prime Minister Extend Wishes; Health Camps Organized Across Maharashtra
Mumbai : Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis dedicated his birthday entirely to the development of Gadchiroli district, launching and inaugurating several major projects in the region. He also initiated a tree plantation drive as part of the ‘Harit Maharashtra – Samruddha Maharashtra’ campaign. Throughout the day, he received birthday greetings from dignitaries including President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and several top leaders.
Those who extended their wishes included President Droupadi Murmu, PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, various Chief Ministers, Governors, Union Ministers, veteran leader Sharad Pawar, former President Pratibha Patil, Assembly Speaker Adv. Rahul Narwekar, Legislative Council Chairman Prof. Ram Shinde, Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Prajakt Patel, Sunil Tatkare, and many other eminent personalities.
In Gadchiroli, CM Fadnavis attended the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a 4.5 MTPA steel plant, which marks Vidarbha’s first-ever such project. The plant is expected to attract an investment of ₹24,000 crore and generate 10,000 jobs. He also inaugurated Maharashtra’s first and fastest-completed slurry pipeline from Hedri to Konsari, expected to reduce carbon emissions by 55%.
The CM inaugurated iron ore and grinding units at Hedri, which are the first of their kind in Maharashtra, setting new benchmarks in the steel sector. At Konsari, he launched the largest single-structure pellet plant in India, crucial for sustainable steel production.
Further development included the foundation stone for a 100-bed hospital, a modern CBSE school in Konsari, and a township project by Lloyds in Sonampalli. These projects collectively symbolized what many described as the “developmental tilak” for Gadchiroli, offered to the CM on his birthday.
In parallel, the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund facilitated statewide health initiatives, including blood donation drives, health check-up camps, ABHA card distribution, organ donation awareness, and distribution of assistive devices. Many individuals and NGOs also contributed generously to the fund in honor of the CM’s birthday.
