CM Shri Bhupendra Patel Reviews First Quarter Progress of Budget Implementation with Senior Secretaries of State Departments
Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel chaired a high-level review meeting with senior secretaries of various state government departments to assess the progress of the first quarter’s performance against the current year’s budgetary provisions.
The meeting was held in the presence of Finance Minister Shri Kanubhai Desai, Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, and Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi. During the session, the Chief Minister provided strategic guidance to ensure timely implementation of the Viksit Gujarat Roadmap, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat envisioned by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Emphasizing a saturation approach in welfare-oriented schemes, the Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure 100% coverage of eligible beneficiaries, thereby effectively achieving the targets set in the state budget.
The Finance Department, in its presentation, highlighted that compared to the same period last year, there has been a 23.4% increase in the implementation expenditure of budgetary allocations across departments during the first quarter.
Moreover, it was reported that over 98% of administrative approvals for new initiatives included in the budget have already been granted within the first quarter itself, reflecting strong momentum in the execution of the government’s planned programs.
