Haryana Police Make Robust Security Arrangements for CET-2025

Chandigarh – In order to ensure that the CET-2025 examination, scheduled to be held on July 26 and 27 by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), is conducted peacefully and transparently, the Haryana Police has made comprehensive security arrangements across the state. In this regard, Director General of Police, Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur, has issued necessary instructions to senior police officers in all districts.

On the day of the examination, Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS) will be enforced within a 500-meter radius of all examination centres. All district police chiefs will inspect the examination centres a day prior to the exam along with the respective Deputy Commissioners and will personally patrol on the day of the exam to ensure that the recruitment examination is conducted fairly and without any disruptions. Additionally, Deputy Commissioners have been directed to appoint an adequate number of Duty Magistrates for the exam.

Instructions have stated that a large number of candidates arrive at the respective stations by train or bus the evening before the exam and then travel via auto-rickshaws and taxis to hotels and lodges near the examination centres. To avoid disorder due to the crowd, additional traffic duties have been directed to be deployed.

The district police have been directed to establish checkpoints and inspect all suspicious vehicles arriving from outside the city starting from the evening before the exam. This activity will continue until the completion of the examination.

Patrolling Parties and Duty Briefing by Gazetted Officers

An adequate number of patrolling parties will be deployed to check duties and maintain law and order at the centres. All personnel on duty will be briefed by at least gazetted rank officers. The concerned officers have been instructed to ensure that only authorised persons are allowed entry into the examination centres. Invigilators inside the examination halls will not be allowed to carry mobile phones or electronic gadgets.

Parking and Shops Around Exam Centres to be Restricted

No vehicles will be allowed to park within a 200-meter radius of the examination centres. On the day of the exam, photocopy/printing shops near the centres will be ordered to remain closed. During the examination, the district police will communicate exclusively through local wireless networks.

DGP Appeals for Public Cooperation in Maintaining Law and Order

DGP Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur has appealed to the citizens of the state, candidates, and their guardians to cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious activity to 112 or the local police. He assured that Haryana Police is fully committed to ensuring that CET-2025 is conducted in a fair and peaceful manner.
