Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Chaudhary Inaugurates Sub-Registrar Office in Pusaur
Local Registry Services Now Accessible Without District Headquarters Visit
Raipur : In a major step toward decentralizing citizen services, Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Chaudhary today inaugurated a new Sub-Registrar Office in the premises of Janpad Panchayat Pusaur. The move is set to bring land and property registration services directly to the people at the local level, eliminating the need for residents to travel to the Raigarh district headquarters.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Chaudhary said, “This office will become a symbol of the government’s commitment to citizen-centric services, providing efficient and transparent processes close to home.” He emphasized that this inauguration is not merely the opening of a building, but a transformative step toward accessible, affordable, and timely registry services for rural citizens.
The new Sub-Registrar Office will offer 65 types of registry services, including sale deeds, donation deeds, partition, relinquishment, wills, and KCC (Kisan Credit Card) mortgage processing. The office has been staffed with one Sub-Registrar, two operators, and one Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).
The Finance Minister also highlighted several key welfare initiatives of the state government. These included:
- Immediate release of two years’ worth of bonuses to farmers after forming the government.
- Procurement of paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal.
- Approval of 1.8 million houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in just 1.5 years, with 9,000 houses sanctioned in the Pusaur block alone at a cost of ₹127 crore.
- Assurance that all eligible citizens will receive housing benefits through the ongoing Awas Plus Survey.
- Success of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, under which ₹70 lakh women receive monthly financial assistance without delay.
He also outlined upcoming development works in Pusaur including roads, bridges, hospitals, and a nursing college. Notably, a new Sub-Registrar office building will soon be constructed at a cost of ₹80 lakh.
Collector Mr. Mayank Chaturvedi noted that 88 panchayats in and around Pusaur will now benefit directly from the local registry services. He emphasized the simplified and more transparent process for property transactions, inheritance documentation, wills, and related legal formalities.
CEO of District Panchayat, Mr. Jitendra Yadav, highlighted 10 landmark reforms in the registry system initiated under Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai. These include:
- Aadhaar-based verification
- Online payment options
- Integration with DigiLocker
- Document preparation from home
- Automatic mutation of property records
The inaugural event was attended by Mayor Mr. Jivardhan Chauhan, Janpad President Mrs. Hemlata Chauhan, Nagar Panchayat President Mrs. Mani Satpathy, Vice President Mr. Degree Lal Sahu, and several public representatives, government officials, and citizens.
