Farmers March Toward Prosperity Through New Technology

Raipur : Under the good governance of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the agricultural landscape in Balod district is witnessing a transformative shift. With a growing emphasis on the adoption of modern farming technologies, farmers are now moving swiftly toward greater prosperity. These changes are not only enhancing productivity but also saving time, reducing costs, and improving the quality of life for farmers.

A leading example is Mr. Dikeswar Sahu, a progressive farmer from Khalari village, Gundardehi block. Mr. Sahu has embraced the latest paddy transplanter machine, significantly reducing his dependency on manual labor. Previously, he relied on multiple workers for transplanting paddy, which was both time-consuming and expensive. Now, with mechanization, he efficiently completes transplantation in less time and at a much lower cost.

Mr. Sahu credits the state’s agricultural policies and the guidance provided by the Agriculture Department for this positive change. He remarked that the use of modern tools has not only saved time and money but has also turned farming into a more profitable venture. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai for their farmer-friendly decisions and schemes.

Another farmer from the same village, Mr. Bisali Ram, shared a similar success story. By switching to mechanized transplanting, he has not only sped up his work but also cut down on input costs. He acknowledged that thanks to schemes like PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi and Krishak Unnati Yojana, farming is now more rewarding.

The transformation in Balod is not limited to individuals. It represents a collective upliftment of the farming community. Through training camps and technical assistance organized by the Agriculture Department, farmers are now familiar with tools like paddy transplanters, drone sprayers, and other advanced equipment. These tools are boosting productivity and income across many villages in the district.

Farmers are expressing their appreciation for the government’s commitment to modernizing agriculture and creating an ecosystem that supports sustainable rural prosperity.
