Minister Smt. Rajwade Inaugurates Akanksha Haat
Honors Ground-Level Workers of the Sampoornata Abhiyan
Raipur, Aug 25 : Under the leadership of Women & Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade, a grand inauguration ceremony for Akanksha Haat and the Sampoornata Abhiyan Felicitation Event was held at Shabari Auditorium in Sukma. Praising the district’s developmental journey, Minister Rajwade stated that Sukma is progressing strongly on the path of development, and under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the dream of a Naxal-free Bastar will soon be realized. She expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister for this progressive initiative.

In her address, the minister highlighted that the Aspirational District Program of both the central and state governments aims to ensure that government schemes reach the last person in the queue and that citizens receive their full benefits. She emphasized that the successful implementation of schemes in backward districts like Sukma proves that political will and administrative commitment can bring significant change anywhere. Today, she noted, Sukma is setting new benchmarks for development in a fear-free environment.
Sampoornata Abhiyan: Honoring Ground-Level Contributors
Sukma district received state-level recognition for achieving 100% targets in key performance indicators under the Sampoornata Abhiyan. The credit for this achievement goes to ground-level workers including ANMs, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, teachers, agricultural assistants, and others who were honored at the event. Minister Rajwade congratulated them all, stating that Sukma’s success would not have been possible without their dedicated efforts.
Akanksha Haat: Showcasing Local Talent and Culture
Alongside the Abhiyan, the two-day “Akanksha Haat” was launched to realize the spirit of “Vocal for Local.” The event provides a platform for local artisans, farmers, self-help groups, and entrepreneurs to exhibit and sell their products. The haat features displays of traditional handicrafts, handloom textiles, organic farm produce, and local artworks, becoming a major attraction for visitors.
The event also includes live demonstrations of traditional arts and crafts, cultural performances, and skill development workshops, which aim to empower local entrepreneurship and preserve the region’s cultural identity.
Notable attendees included Ms. Deepika Sori, member of the State Women’s Commission, district representatives, officials, and a large number of citizens.
