Revenue Officials Should Strive to Deliver Justice to the Common People – District Collector Anchal Goyal
Mumbai, Aug 25 : The Revenue Department is a crucial link in delivering government schemes to the beneficiaries. Officers and staff of the Revenue Department should utilize the opportunity of working in Maharashtra’s capital to ensure that common citizens receive the benefits of various government schemes, urged Mumbai City District Collector Anchal Goyal.
At a program organized at the District Collector’s office on the occasion of Revenue Day, Goyal felicitated beneficiaries of various schemes and honored officers and employees who had performed outstanding work by presenting them with certificates. On this occasion, she appreciated the work of departments that delivered excellent performance despite limited manpower. Additional District Collector Ravi Katkadond, Resident Deputy Collector Dr. Shivananda Langadapure, and other officers and employees of the District Collector’s office were present.
Collector Goyal said that as a department responsible for ensuring citizens receive the benefits of government schemes, the Revenue Department carries significant expectations from the state government for people-centric and transparent administration. Although Mumbai City District is small in area, its importance is immense as the state capital. She lauded the excellent work done in the distribution of property cards, revenue collection, and other departments, expressing confidence that the ongoing efforts would continue with the same confidence and energy. She assured that the various targets set by the government would be achieved within the stipulated time.
Additional District Collector Ravi Katkadond remarked that the work of the District Collector’s office has been commendable and emphasized the need to adopt a proactive approach in resolving pending cases. He urged all officials and staff to strive for better service delivery so that the department’s image becomes even more positive among the common people.
Resident Deputy Collector Dr. Langadapure explained the purpose of celebrating Revenue Day and provided information about the various initiatives undertaken by the District Collector’s office. He appreciated the employees of departments like revenue collection, Superintendent of Land Records, property card distribution, distribution of benefits under the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana, and issuance of various certificates for their notable work.
On this occasion, officers and staff who performed outstandingly at the divisional level, including Additional District Collector Katkadond, were felicitated. Beneficiaries of schemes such as the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana, schemes for persons with disabilities, and transgender welfare schemes were also presented with certificates by the District Collector.
