Adopt Swadeshi, Learn Continuously, Manage Time, and Dream Big: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasised that the youth will play the most crucial role in transforming India into a developed nation. “History bears witness that revolutions have always been led by the youth,” he said. To contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress, the youth of India and Madhya Pradesh must learn to channel their vast energy in the right direction. He added, “This is not just a necessity but also our shared responsibility”.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Abhyuday University, established by the Renaissance Group Indore in Khargone, Dr. Yadav urged the youth to love their country and repay the debt of their motherland by contributing their knowledge and talent towards its development. He encouraged them to adopt Swadeshi ideals, engage in daily self-learning, manage their time effectively, and always aim for greatness. He said, “Dream big and commit yourself wholeheartedly to turning those dreams into reality”.
The Chief Minister formally inaugurated the university by Deep Prajjwalan and installing an idol of Shri Ram Darbar on campus. He also honoured University Registrar Dr. Vikram Parmar for his dedicated service.
CM Offers Guidance to Students During Youth Dialogue
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav responded to questions on various topics during an interactive session with students. Nikhil Yadav, a computer science student, asked about the role of Madhya Pradesh’s youth in the
vision of a developed India @2047. The CM encouraged youth to pursue their studies in the field of their interest and aspire to become ideal farmers, teachers, entrepreneurs or leaders. He affirmed, “The state government stands with you to help turn your dreams into reality”.
Seema Yadav, an agriculture student, inquired about government initiatives to promote modern farming among tribal communities. CM Dr. Yadav informed her that two agricultural colleges have been set up in Khargone to train farmers in advanced techniques. The government is also supporting food processing and textile industries based on local produce such as chillies.
MBA student Mayank Adhikar asked about the CM’s approach to managing a busy schedule. CM Dr. Yadav replied that sufficient sleep, maintaining good health, and reading books daily are the keys to success. He advised students to work in a structured manner toward their goals and focus on timely execution.
CM Dr. Yadav also briefed students and others present about various government schemes. He said, the government is committed to supporting investment in employment-oriented industries and aims to make every citizen self-reliant.
To increase milk production and make livestock farmers self-reliant, the government is promoting cow rearing under the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana. The aim is to raise the state’s milk contribution from 9% to 20%. Under the scheme, farmers are being given generous subsidies to start dairy units. For example, a subsidy of Rs. 10 lakh is being provided on a loan of Rs. 40 lakh for owning over 25 cows.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that large cow shelters will be established in major gram panchayats and urban local bodies, and these will be managed by the state government. Air ambulances have been introduced for critical patients and a special “Gau Ambulance” service has been launched for cattle. Organizations interested in setting up large gaushalas will be allotted up to 130 acres of land. Currently, 20 such large gaushalas are being established across the state.
CM Dr. Yadav expressed his delight at the installation of Shri Ram Darbar in the university. He said Indian culture reveres not only gods but also nature — rivers, trees, and mountains. Referring to historical efforts in Khargone, he recalled the establishment of Tantya Mama University and now the Abhyuday University as symbols of the government’s commitment to tribal development.
During his interaction, the CM Dr. Yadav asked students the difference between “parva” and “tyohar” (types of festivals). He explained, “In Indian tradition, when we observe a fast to worship God, it is a parva; when we celebrate with food and joy, it is a tyohar”. He also shared insights from the life of Lord Ram, citing the moment when Sage Vishwamitra asked King Dasharatha for Ram and Lakshman to help destroy demons in the forest. CM Dr. Yadav said, Ram’s journey through society, his humility, compassion and devotion to duty are lessons for all. He noted, “Helping a friend in distress, no matter how urgent our own tasks, is exemplified in the Bali-Sugreev episode of the Ramayana”.
Embodying Lord Ram’s Ideals is True ‘Abhyuday’ for Students
CM Dr. Yadav said that embracing the ideals of Lord Ram — compassion for the underprivileged, support for friends in times of need, and faith in one’s capabilities and resources — is the true path of Abhyuday
(progress) for students. He cited Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi as a living example, who rose from humble beginnings to become India’s PM for the third time after serving four terms as Gujarat CM. He also recalled how PM Modi invited Shri Ratan Tata to establish the Tata Nano plant in Gujarat. CM Dr. Yadav said, Films by actor Shri Manoj Kumar, inspired patriotism among Indians.
CM Dr. Yadav urged youth to pledge support for Make in India and Vocal for Local initiatives by choosing to buy domestically produced goods. He added “This will help ensure our farmers receive fair value for their crops”. He encouraged youth to dream beyond government jobs — to become ideal farmers, teachers, entrepreneurs or leaders — and noted that there is dignity in all forms of work. He cited beekeeping as a way farmers can increase income alongside traditional agriculture. The state government, he said, is committed to securing the future of its youth by promoting agricultural education and industries. Assistance is also being provided for food and agro-based industries, medical colleges, and hospitals. Those investing Rs. 50 crore in a hotel, for instance, are eligible for a government grant of Rs. 15 crore.
Abhyuday University founder Shri Swapnil Kothari praised the determination of tribal communities in transforming their destiny. He cited examples like Smt. Lado Bai and Smt. Manisha Bai from Jhabua, who have brought national and international recognition to the region. He emphasised that establishing a Shri Ram Darbar on campus reflects the belief that divine grace and personal effort together make anything possible. The university, he said, is a result of CM Dr. Yadav’s deep sensitivity and commitment to tribal welfare, and it will empower tribal students through higher education.
CM Dr. Yadav also planted saplings on the university campus. The event was attended by Khargone MP Shri Gajendra Singh Patel, Khandwa MP Shri Dnyaneshwar Patil, MLA Shri Sachin Birla (Barwah), MLA Shri Rajkumar Mev, former MLA Shri Balkrishna Patidar and a large number of university officials, faculty, and students.
