Minister of Women and Child Development Smt. Rajwade Visits Kondagaon

Inspects Anganwadi Centers, Girls’ Home, Sakhi Center, and De-addiction Center
Instructs Officials for Effective On-Ground Implementation of Government Schemes

Raipur, Aug 25 : Minister of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, reviewed the implementation of departmental schemes during her visit to Kondagaon district. During the visit, Minister Rajwade inspected the De-addiction Center, Anganwadi Centers, Sakhi One Stop Center, Halfway Home, and the Girls’ Home, directing officials to ensure the effective and efficient execution of these schemes.

At the de-addiction center located in Baniyagaon, Smt. Rajwade interacted with the patients undergoing treatment, discussing the adverse effects of substance abuse and advising them to embrace the path of rehabilitation. Following this, she visited Anganwadi centers, inspecting the nutritional meals provided to children and inquiring about educational activities being conducted there. Impressed by the children’s recitations of poems, stories, and their responses, the minister appreciated their efforts and distributed chocolates among them.

During the inspection, Minister Rajwade placed special emphasis on cleanliness at the Anganwadi centers. She directed the concerned officials to ensure regular cleaning of the kitchens and bathrooms to maintain hygiene standards.

At the Sakhi One Stop Center, the minister observed the counseling process and instructed officials to ensure comprehensive mental health support for the victimized women. At the Halfway Home, she reviewed the details of individuals who had arrived from other states and instructed the staff to make proper arrangements for their safe return to their home states.

During her visit to the Girls’ Home, Smt. Rajwade interacted with the resident girls, encouraging them to continue their interest in sports and education. She motivated them to strive for excellence and move forward in life with determination.

Accompanying the minister on her inspection tour were Director of the Women and Child Development Department, Mr. P.S. Elma, SDM Mr. Ajay Urav, and other senior officials.
