Rationalisation Policy Transforms Schools, Giving Children Like Khushboo a Golden Opportunity to Learn
Raipur, Aug 2025 : The impact of the state government’s Educational Rationalisation Policy is now visible even in remote rural areas. Until recently, the Government Primary School in Tuma Khurd village, located in the Dhamdha development block of Durg district, was being run with only a single teacher. The school offered classes from Grade 1 to Grade 5, but due to a shortage of teachers, students’ learning was suffering.
Managing all five grades with just one teacher was nearly impossible. Regular classes could not be conducted, and attendance gradually began to decline. Parents’ worries grew, especially for students like Khushboo, whose parents wanted her to study but felt helpless due to the situation.
Under the rationalisation process, the Education Department appointed a qualified teacher to the school, transforming its environment completely. Now, children are enjoying regular lessons along with games, poems, and stories as part of their learning. Khushboo shares that she now enjoys coming to school, learns new things every day, and loves the many games and poems taught by her teacher.
The changing atmosphere has also improved attendance – the school now records 100% presence. The dedication of the teacher, combined with the children’s curiosity, has brought new energy and enthusiasm to the campus. A school that once felt deserted is now filled with the laughter and lively chatter of learning children.
Parents are now confident that their children are receiving quality and consistent education. This state government policy is not merely a structural rearrangement of teacher postings; it is a visionary step towards strengthening the rural education system. The bright smiles of young students like Khushboo stand as proof that education is now reaching every village and every child.
