Pune, Aug 2025 : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today stressed that through advance planning, fixed timelines, transparency, quality, and inter-departmental coordination, the pace of infrastructure development projects in the state can be accelerated. All agencies must work together to achieve the goal of a one-trillion-dollar economy, he urged.

Mr. Fadnavis said that Maharashtra’s economy is on the path to becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy, and infrastructure development projects are key to speeding up this journey. Advance planning ensures timely completion while enhancing quality and utility. The state has successfully completed major engineering projects such as roads, railways, bridges, and tunnels, gaining rich experience in the process. Facilities like Gati Shakti and geo-data are available for project execution, but coordination between departments is crucial. Field inspections are also necessary during planning. Using available information at the right time can help give projects the needed momentum.
Focus on Quality and Timely Execution
When selecting developers, their capabilities must be considered. Project agreements should be prepared after thorough study, incorporating all essential aspects in the state’s interest. Continuous monitoring during execution is necessary to ensure quality standards are met. Land acquisition must be completed on time, with prompt compensation, to avoid cost escalations. Projects should only begin after land acquisition is complete, the CM added.
He said the government is prioritizing the removal of obstacles in project implementation. A dedicated War Room has been set up to fast-track important projects, yielding positive results. Departments responsible for timely and quality execution are recognized and appreciated. Multiple financing options are available, and considering these can help undertake more infrastructure projects.
