Loving Bond Between Brother-Sister is Eternal and Will Endure Forever : CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that all sisters of the state are our honor, pride, and dignity. The world feels empty without sisters. He stated that while life is mortal, the loving bond between brother and sister is eternal and will remain so. As long as the world exists, this precious and unbreakable relationship will remain immortal. He said that his government has ensured every rightful entitlement for sisters and is fully committed to making them self-reliant. The Chief Minister Accepting Rakhis from everyone, said that it is through the blessings of all sisters that he derives the immense energy to work wholeheartedly for the state’s development.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav participated in the grand Raksha-Bandhan program organised at Baba Baijnath Mahadev Dham in Agar-Malwa district on the occasion of the Shravan festival on Saturday. He expressed deep affection, respect and sensitivity towards sisters and Divyangs during the event. CM Dr. Yadav also distributed assistive devices to Divyangs according to their needs. The Chief Minister had Rakhis tied by all the sisters, offered them sweets, gave them gifts and enjoyed a traditional Jhoola ride with them as part of the monsoon festivities. CM Dr. Yadav extended greetings to all citizens of the state on the occasion of Shravan and Raksha-Bandhan.

The Chief Minister informed that the Devi Ahilya Women Empowerment Mission is being implemented in the state. The government is working swiftly in mission mode to link women with self-employment opportunities and ensure their self-reliance. CM Dr. Yadav said that DIvyangs are divine creations of the Almighty, endowed with special abilities. They only need encouragement, and the government stands with them at every step. He added that whether it is providing educational assistance, pension benefits or reservation in government jobs, the state government has ensured all necessary arrangements for their holistic welfare.

The Future Belongs to Women

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that sisters need not worry—the future belongs to women. Whether in the State Legislative Assembly or in the Lok Sabha, women’s representation is set to increase. He said that Indian festivals carry important messages that need to be understood. We are custodians of family traditions, and the brother-sister bond carries these traditions forward. Every home prospers with the blessings of sisters, who are at the core of our happiness. Sisters illuminate two households, unite two families, and nurture them with care.

CM Dr. Yadav urged women not to be swayed by the words of opponents, assuring that no public welfare scheme in the state will be discontinued. At present, sisters receive Rs.1,250 every month, and on this Raksha-Bandhan, an additional Rs.250 has been given as a festive gift. Starting from Bhai-Dooj of this coming Diwali, Ladli sisters will receive Rs.1,500 per month. This amount will be increased year after year, reaching Rs.3,000 per month by 2028. He said, “We are willing to sacrifice everything and will spare no effort for sister”.

Rs.4,000 Crore Investment in Agar-Malwa

Chief Minister DR. Yadav said that the fate and image of Agar-Malwa district are set to change soon, with an investment of nearly Rs.4,000 crore taking place here. A large potato-based products factory will be established, providing employment to local residents. Farmers will receive up to four times the cost of the potatoes they grow.

Agar-Malwa to Benefit from PKC Project

CM Dr. Yadav said, “Parvati–Kalisindh–Chambal (PKC) national river-linking project will bring major benefits to Agar-Malwa district. Every village and town will receive drinking water, and irrigation water will reach every farm in the district. Discussions have been held with Union Railways Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Agar-Malwa will soon get a railway connection.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav noted that metro rail services have started in Indore and will soon begin in Bhopal. Before that, the Bhoomi-Pujan of BEML’s rolling stock factory in Raisen district—where Vande Bharat and metro rail coaches will be built—is scheduled to take place. Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh will perform the Bhoomi- Pujan of this factory on August 10.

The Chief Minister also expressed happiness that the Agar-Malwa police station and the SDOP office have received ISO certification.

The program was attended by Agar-Malwa MLA Shri Madhosingh Gehlot, Shajapur MLA Shri Arun Bhimavad, Shri Om Malviya, along with local public representatives, a large number of members of self-help groups, sisters from the Prajapita Brahmakumari organization, women athletes and schoolgirls from the district.
