CM Sai Announces Development Projects Worth ₹186 Crore for Sarangarh-Bilaigarh District
Raipur, Aug 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated development works worth ₹96 crore and laid the foundation stones for projects worth ₹90 crore at a program held in the premises of Government Lochan Prasad Pandey College in Sarangarh, bringing a total of ₹186 crore in development works to the district. Additionally, he announced projects worth ₹13.40 crore to further expand public amenities.
In his address, CM Sai recalled his long years of service to Sarangarh as a Member of Parliament and said that for the past one and a half years, he has been dedicatedly fulfilling his responsibility as Chief Minister to lead Chhattisgarh on the path of development. He stated that the government is taking concrete steps to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantees — including purchasing paddy from farmers at ₹3,100 per quintal for up to 21 quintals per acre, approving 1.8 million houses under the PM Awas Yojana, and rapidly constructing homes for beneficiaries.
He highlighted initiatives such as the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, which provides economic support to 7 million women in the state, increased tendu leaf procurement rates, financial assistance to 562,000 landless laborers, and the Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, through which 22,000 devotees have visited Ayodhya.
Revenue Minister and District In-charge Minister Tankaram Verma, MP Radheshyam Rathiya, and Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Dev also addressed the event, emphasizing that the ₹186 crore package will significantly boost infrastructure and public amenities in the district.
On this occasion, CM Sai announced several key projects, including ₹5 crore for constructing the Gaurav Path from Bharat Mata Chowk to Kosir Chowk, ₹3 crore for a PG College building in Sarangarh, ₹2.5 crore for renovating the indoor stadium, and various other projects for gardens, hostels, hospitals, and bus stand facilities.
The event was attended by Chhattisgarh Housing Board Chairman Anurag Singhdeo, public representatives, officials, and prominent citizens.
