State Excise Minister Shambhuraj Desai to Implement Pilot Project in Kolhapur Incorporating Essential Services of State Service Rights Commission.
Mumbai : The Maharashtra State Service Rights Commission is continuously working to provide services to citizens. A pilot project will be implemented in Kolhapur on 15th August 2024 to effectively deliver regular and important services to common citizens. State Excise Minister Shambhuraj Desai announced that this project will be launched online by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Regarding the promise made in response to a query in the Legislative Assembly during the Monsoon Session, a meeting was organized in the ministry to discuss the services provided to citizens by the Public Service Rights Commission. In the meeting, Minister Desai spoke about the initiative. State Public Service Rights Commission Commissioner Dilip Shinde was present on this occasion. Additionally, MLA Prakash Abitkar and Kolhapur Collector Amol Yedge participated via video communication.
Minister Desai stated that common citizens of rural areas frequently require services from departments such as revenue, rural development, public works, electricity, and agriculture. To ensure these services are provided in a timely manner, information about the officers and services covered under this Act should be displayed prominently on a board in front of all relevant offices. The concerned authorities should ensure that citizens receive transparent, speedy, and timely services from the state government. Effective procedures should be adopted for the successful implementation of this Act. The Collector of Kolhapur should make preliminary preparations for the pilot project.
