Kerala Team Conducts “Peer Review” in Six Selected Districts of Rajasthan from August 18–24, 2025

Jaipur, Aug 2025 : Director of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Mr. Vasudev Malawat, informed that as per the directions of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, a “Peer Review” is being conducted by a team from Kerala State in Rajasthan. The purpose is to evaluate the effective implementation and progress of the “Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan”.

The Peer Review began on Monday, August 18, and will continue till August 24, 2025, in six selected districts of Rajasthan — Jaipur, Udaipur, Alwar, Churu, Bundi, and Jhunjhunu.

Mr. Malawat stated that the “Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan”, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 26, 2024, aims at the complete eradication of malnutrition through public participation. As part of this, a 12-member delegation from Kerala arrived in Jaipur on August 17. An orientation and presentation program for the visiting team was organized at a private hotel in Jaipur on Sunday in the presence of Mr. Malawat.

Highlighting the objectives, Mr. Malawat said that the campaign seeks to improve Anganwadi services, eliminate malnutrition, and ensure significant enhancement in nutrition outcomes at the village level through active community participation.

He added that this initiative is an important step towards experience-sharing and promoting innovations among states, which will accelerate the achievement of the goal of a “Well-Nourished India” (Suposhit Bharat).

The orientation session began with an introduction round, followed by a detailed presentation by Joint Project Coordinator Ms. Megha Singh on the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan and departmental schemes. The session also included an in-depth discussion on the upcoming Peer Review work plan and the evaluation process of Gram Panchayats.

At the end of the session, Mr. Malawat presented mementoes to all delegates.

The event was attended by Additional Director (I) Mr. Meghraj Meena, Deputy Director (IEC) Dr. Dharmveer, Joint Project Coordinator Megha Singh, Assistant Director (Training) Ms. Jigyasa Sharma, along with departmental officers and representatives from IPE Global and UNICEF.
