Chief Secretary directs suspension of employees misusing RGHS benefits

Jaipur, Aug 2025 : Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant has instructed all departments to complete replies to pending Assembly questions and other essential preparations by August 25, in view of the fourth session of the 16th Legislative Assembly, beginning September 1. He issued these directions while chairing a meeting of the Committee of Secretaries at the State Secretariat on Monday.

The Chief Secretary emphasized that preparing accurate replies to Assembly questions should be given top priority and directed departments to ensure careful drafting and timely submission.

Referring to the list of employees found to be misusing Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) benefits, Shri Pant ordered that all such employees be suspended within a week. He underlined that government employees are a crucial link in delivering good governance, and hence, matters related to their promotions and service benefits must be completed within the stipulated time. He noted that timely promotions boost morale and motivate employees to play their vital role in governance.

He also instructed the Animal Husbandry Department to make adequate preparations for the upcoming Employment Festival.

The meeting also reviewed in detail the status of pending cabinet notes, progress on new recruitment across departments, and announcements regarding new policies.

It was informed during the review that Rajasthan secured second position at the national level in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign this year, with 2,80,447 volunteers actively participating. Similarly, enthusiastic social media uploads by citizens also helped the state achieve second place across the country.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Water Resources) Abhay Kumar, ACS (Public Health Engineering & Ground Water) Akhil Arora, ACS (Skill & Entrepreneurship) Sandeep Verma, ACS (Higher & Technical Education) Kuldeep Ranka, ACS (Rural Development) Smt. Shreya Guha, ACS (Public Works) Praveen Gupta, ACS (Home) Bhaskar A. Sawant, along with principal secretaries, secretaries, and senior officials of concerned departments.
