Even After AAP’s Complaint of Voter Fraud in Delhi, Election Commission Took No Action: Sanjay Singh
- “In the New Delhi Assembly constituency, 42,000 votes were deleted, while dozens of votes were added under the addresses of Union Ministers and MPs,” said Sanjay Singh.
- “Despite AAP’s complaint, the Election Commission took no action,” he added.
- “In Bihar, the Election Commission deleted 6.5 million votes but did not add even one. Did they not find a single eligible voter?” Singh questioned.
- “The BJP claims that only infiltrators and Bangladeshis’ votes were removed. If 2.2 million were deceased, are the remaining 4.3 million all infiltrators?” Singh asked.
- “If the Election Commission is impartial, it must investigate voter fraud,” Singh demanded.
New Delhi, Aug 2025:Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has challenged the Election Commission of India (ECI), saying that if it is truly impartial, it must investigate and act on complaints of voter fraud across states. He alleged that despite AAP’s formal complaints regarding irregularities in Delhi’s voter rolls, no action was taken by the Commission.
Singh claimed that in the New Delhi Assembly constituency alone, 42,000 votes were removed, while dozens of fraudulent votes were added under the addresses of BJP Union Ministers and MPs. “The Commission says no party complained about voter fraud, but that is a lie. We complained multiple times in writing and in person. If the ECI is fair, it should order an inquiry; otherwise, allegations of vote theft will never end,” he said.
At a joint press conference with opposition parties following the Chief Election Commissioner’s (CEC) briefing, Singh attacked CEC Gyanesh Kumar, mockingly calling him “Agyanesh Kumar” (ignorant Kumar). He said, “He either doesn’t know, pretends not to know, or thinks we are fools. The ECI deleted 6.5 million votes in Bihar between June 25 and July 25 under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Not a single new voter was added. They claim 2.2 million were dead, but what about the other 4.3 million? Are they all infiltrators? Will detention centers be built for them? Will they be deported to Bangladesh?”
He further alleged that shocking irregularities occurred during the SIR process: booth-level officers themselves signed and submitted forms, a U.S. President Donald Trump voter card was issued in Bihar, and even a dog’s residence certificate was accepted. “What action did the ECI take? None. They openly manipulated voter rolls—declaring the living dead and the dead alive. This is nothing but fraud,” Singh charged.
Targeting the BJP, Singh said: “If the BJP claims only infiltrators’ votes were deleted, then are lakhs of ordinary citizens—including retired IAS officer Vyas and his wife, whose names were deleted—also infiltrators? Will they be sent to detention centers?”
He accused the ECI of colluding with the ruling party: “The Commission has made a mockery of democracy. They say calling them ‘vote thieves’ is unconstitutional. But is stealing votes and committing corruption constitutional?”
Singh reminded that under a 2018 Supreme Court ruling, updating voter rolls is solely the responsibility of the ECI. Yet, the Commission blames political parties. “This is like a corrupt policeman committing robbery with his constables and then saying, ‘No one told me robbery is wrong.’”
He also dismissed the ECI’s claim about “women’s privacy” being violated if CCTV footage of polling stations is released: “When women stand in queues to vote across India, is their privacy not already visible on live TV? The rules themselves say CCTV footage must be preserved for 45 days.”
Finally, Singh declared: “The Election Commission, under Gyanesh Kumar, has committed the biggest electoral fraud in collusion with the BJP. Unless impartial inquiries are conducted in Delhi, Bihar, and other states where complaints have been raised, the Commission’s credibility will remain in question. Otherwise, history will say that under Gyanesh Kumar’s leadership, votes were stolen and democracy was betrayed.”
