Remarkable Progress in Financial Inclusion Across the Country Under the Leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi: CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, Aug 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated a new Punjab National Bank branch, ATM, and deposit machine at the Indravati Bhavan complex in Nava Raipur. On this occasion, he extended his best wishes to the employees of the Department Head Office at Indravati Bhavan, residents of Nava Raipur and nearby areas, as well as the officers and staff of the bank.

Chief Minister Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has witnessed remarkable progress in the field of financial inclusion. Earlier, funds from government schemes were distributed in cash, which often led to leakages. But now, with the expansion of banking services and the introduction of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), financial assistance is reaching beneficiaries directly and transparently. He added that along with peace-building efforts in the Bastar region, banking facilities are also expanding rapidly. The establishment of bank branches in remote villages of the Surguja and Bastar divisions is helping fulfill the government’s resolve to “provide banking facilities to the last person.”

Finance Minister O. P. Choudhary said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, continuous efforts are being made in Chhattisgarh toward good governance. He noted that the state’s banking sector and economy hold immense potential for the future. Chhattisgarh will play a significant role in building a developed India, he said, and urged banks to play an active and effective role in this direction.

The program was attended by Chief Minister’s Secretary Mukesh Bansal, Punjab National Bank Managing Director Ashok Chandra, along with other officials and distinguished citizens.
