Mumbai, August 2025 :In a major relief for devotees traveling to Konkan for this year’s Ganeshotsav, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced toll exemption. Between August 23 and September 8, 2025, vehicles and ST buses heading to Konkan for the festival will be exempted from paying tolls on the Mumbai–Bengaluru National Highway, Mumbai–Goa National Highway, as well as on roads under the jurisdiction of the Public Works Department (PWD) and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).

For this purpose, special toll-exemption passes under the initiative “Ganeshotsav 2025 – Konkan Darshan” will be issued. These passes will include the vehicle number and owner’s details, and will be made available through the respective Regional Transport Officers (RTOs), Police, and Transport Departments.
