Divisional Commissioner Inspects Municipal Corporation’s Arogya Vardhini Centre
Amravati, August 2025 : Divisional Commissioner Dr. Shweta Singhal today visited the Arogya Vardhini Centre at Rahatgaon run by the Municipal Corporation and conducted a detailed review of the health services and facilities provided there. She instructed that necessary measures should be taken to ensure that citizens receive all health-related facilities promptly. Municipal Commissioner Soumya Sharma-Chandak was present during the visit.
During the inspection, Dr. Singhal expressed satisfaction with the services being provided at the centre. She observed that a large number of citizens were benefitting from facilities such as patient registration, medical check-ups, and free distribution of medicines, and noted her appreciation. After reviewing the functioning of the centre, she also made several important suggestions to further improve its efficiency in the future.
Dr. Singhal stated that adequate measures should be taken to provide free and quality healthcare services easily accessible to urban citizens. She emphasized that patient registration and medical reports should be maintained in a computerized system to facilitate data analysis and planning. Regular campaigns and workshops should be organized for health awareness, and special attention should be given to keeping the health centre premises clean and sanitized. She stressed that all departments should work in coordination to deliver quality healthcare to citizens.
The Arogya Vardhini Centres started by the Municipal Corporation are proving highly beneficial for local residents. Patient registration, medical check-ups, and necessary medicines are provided free of cost. Dr. Singhal appealed to more citizens to take advantage of these centres.
Municipal Commissioner Soumya Sharma-Chandak also made suggestions to enhance the effectiveness of the centre’s services. She said that the stock of medicines should be regularly updated to avoid shortages, and planning should be done to provide new diagnostic equipment and facilities as needed. Feedback should be collected from citizens and services improved accordingly. She also instructed that regular training programs be organized for both medical and administrative staff, and that a rapid response system be kept functional to deal with emergencies.
