Jaipur Collector Directs Officials to Stay Alert Amid Rainfall and Waterlogging; Schools Closed as Precaution
Jaipur, Aug 2025 : In view of the forecast of heavy rainfall in Jaipur district in the coming days, District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni has directed all officials to remain on alert and work in mission mode to ensure necessary arrangements for relief and rescue operations.

Due to continuous rainfall over the past few days, several rural areas of Jaipur are facing waterlogging. Considering the situation in villages and roads, the district administration has declared holidays for all government and private schools on Monday and Tuesday for the safety of students.
The District Collector has also appealed to the public to exercise extra caution during waterlogging conditions. Citizens can contact the control room round the clock at 0141-2204475 and 0141-2204476. People have been urged to stay away from water bodies, ensure children do not go near waterlogged areas, and avoid crossing submerged causeways or culverts. A flood control room has also been set up by the district administration.
Dr. Soni has instructed officials to take immediate action in any part of the district experiencing heavy rainfall. All officers must remain in their respective areas, monitor the situation closely, and stay in constant communication with senior authorities.
On Sunday, under the leadership of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, 46 teams of Jaipur district administration visited all rain-affected areas to assess the situation. During these visits, officials interacted with local residents and ensured that relief and rescue measures were implemented on the spot.
