CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Takes Key Decisions on Disaster Management, Administrative Reforms, and Local Service Delivery
Dehradun, Aug 2025 – Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a high-level meeting with senior officials held at the Chief Minister’s residence, took several important decisions to strengthen disaster management, streamline administrative reforms, and improve service delivery at the grassroots level.
The Chief Minister directed that a special relief and rehabilitation package, similar to the one provided for Dharali, should also be extended to the Tharali region. He emphasized that people affected by the recent disasters in Tharali must receive immediate assistance and that rehabilitation works should begin on a war footing. Similarly, he instructed that relief and reconstruction efforts in Joshimath should also be initiated without delay. He urged officials to prioritize the concerns and hardships of affected families.
Marking the Silver Jubilee of the State Assembly, the Chief Minister announced that a special two-day session will be held in November, where the state’s achievements, challenges, and future plans will be discussed in detail.
For administrative convenience, he proposed that in the future, offices of SDMs, Tehsildars, Circle Officers, and BDOs should be integrated under one roof to provide citizens easier access to government services. At the village level, he ordered that once a week, Panchayat Secretaries, Village Development Officers, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi workers must be mandatorily present at the Panchayat Bhawan as per a fixed roster. This will ensure that villagers receive all essential services locally without difficulty.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure immediate implementation of all these decisions and warned that no negligence in public interest will be tolerated.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Shri R.K. Sudhanshu, Shri R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Shri Shailesh Bagauli, Additional DGP Shri A.P. Anshuman, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, and Additional Secretary Shri Banshidhar Tiwari.
