Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai’s Meaningful Meeting with Korea International Trade Association (KITA) in South Korea
Discussions Held on Giving New Direction to Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Development through Investment, Technological Cooperation, and Skilling
Raipur, Aug 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today met Mr. Jin Sik Yoon, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), and Mr. Kim Ki Hyun, Vice President, in Seoul. KITA, with over 77,000 members, is Asia’s leading trade platform. On this occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the strengths of Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Policy 2024–30, its natural resources, and skilled human resources, while holding detailed discussions on opportunities in investment, technology transfer, and skilling.
Chief Minister Sai said, “Our relations with South Korea are not only commercial but also cultural and historical. Today’s dialogue will open new doors for investment, technological cooperation, and skill development between Chhattisgarh and Korea. This will create opportunities for the youth of Chhattisgarh in modern industries and accelerate the state’s industrial development.”
He made it clear that the state government is fully committed to providing investors with a conducive environment, quick approvals, and the necessary infrastructure. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this cooperation with KITA will give Chhattisgarh a new identity on the global industrial map.
During the meeting, KITA Chairman Mr. Jin Sik Yoon and Vice President Mr. Kim Ki Hyun also expressed deep interest in Chhattisgarh’s investment-friendly policies and resources. They said Korean companies are enthusiastic about exploring investment opportunities in Chhattisgarh, and concrete steps will be taken in the coming days for partnerships.
Chief Minister Sai said that this cooperation will directly benefit the farmers, workers, and local entrepreneurs of Chhattisgarh. Investments in sectors like food processing, electronics, automobiles, steel, and renewable energy will generate thousands of employment opportunities. Along with this, technology transfer will enhance the quality and competitiveness of local industries.
The Chief Minister further said that Chhattisgarh is not only rich in natural resources but also has a hardworking and skilled youth population. By collaborating with Korean companies, they will receive new opportunities for skilling and technical training, which will strengthen the state’s human resource capacity at a global level. This partnership will take Chhattisgarh’s economy to new heights, and in the coming years, the state will emerge as an ideal example of self-reliance and global partnership.
