The MoU was signed by Mrs. Neha Giri, State Mission Director, Rajeevika, and Mrs. Pragya Yadav, Founder and Trustee, V. Shakti Foundation.

Mrs. Neha Giri informed that the main objective of this agreement is to provide a platform for women members of self-help groups, artisans, and small entrepreneurs to showcase their products and skills. Keeping in mind the local resources, the aim is to enhance their income, build mutual understanding towards financial independence, and make coordinated efforts to empower women by spreading awareness about gender equality while preventing violence against women.

She said that Rajeevika’s objective is to organize poor rural women into Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Village Organizations (VOs), and Cluster Level Federations (CLFs) and, through various projects, promote diverse livelihoods for every poor household. To increase the income of poor and deprived sections, promotion of small and micro-enterprises in both agricultural and non-agricultural sectors is being undertaken. It accelerates sustainable development by creating inclusive opportunities so that women can bring changes in their own lives, uplift their communities, and contribute to an equitable future through innovative works. Its objective is to provide women with livelihood opportunities that transform potential into reality, helping them achieve continuous and sustainable livelihoods.

Rajeevika and V. Shakti Trust, focusing first on the rural areas of Alwar district of Rajasthan, agreed to work strongly and collaborate on rural entrepreneurship, capacity building, and gender equality. The overall objective of this agreement is to initiate activities in Alwar and gradually expand across Rajasthan, thereby bringing holistic development and meaningful change in women’s lives, accelerating government efforts to ensure gender equality and women empowerment. This agreement will be completely non-financial. Under it, SHG members will receive practical training, technical support for capacity-building workshops, acquire new skills, re-skilling and up-skilling in various fields, and will be able to start small businesses.

Under financial literacy, women will be trained to understand savings and credit, use digital payments, digital skills such as using smartphones, digital apps, internet safety, and online marketing. Departmental officers were also present during the occasion.
