Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas to be Held on December 10 in Jaipur; CM Bhajanlal Sharma Stresses Timely Preparations, NRR Connect Programs Planned in India & Abroad
Jaipur, Aug 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma announced that the state government will organize Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas in Jaipur on December 10 to honor the achievements and significant social contributions of Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs). He directed officials to ensure that all preparations for the event are completed in a time-bound manner for its grand success.
Chairing a review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office on Thursday regarding the arrangements, Shri Sharma said that the celebration will provide an opportunity for NRRs to be part of Rajasthan’s journey towards development. On this occasion, they will also be honored for their contributions and achievements across social, economic, and industrial fields.
To make the event a success, the Chief Minister instructed that both National and International NRR Connect Programs be organized. The national-level connect programs are scheduled to be held in Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Surat during September, October, and November, while the international connect programs will be held in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) in October.
Shri Sharma gave special directions to departmental officials to finalize arrangements for the inaugural session and to prepare frameworks for sessions related to tourism, water, education, and health.
It is noteworthy that under the CM’s guidance, Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas will include the Pravasi Rajasthani Samman Awards ceremony. Applications for these awards have been invited through the Rajasthan Foundation Portal since August 13, with the last date being September 12.
The meeting was attended by Industries and Commerce Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore and senior officials of the concerned departments.
