Jaipur District Administration on High Alert Amid Continuous Rainfall
Jaipur, Sept 2025 — With continuous rainfall disrupting normal life in Jaipur, the district administration is actively engaged in relief and rescue operations with full preparedness and vigilance. District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni is closely monitoring the situation, keeping a constant watch on field reports, and has instructed officials that no negligence will be tolerated in relief efforts. He emphasized that ensuring public safety and extending all possible assistance remain the administration’s top priority.
On the Collector’s directions, all sub-divisional officers, tehsildars, development officers, and revenue officials are visiting rain-affected areas to assess damage and provide immediate solutions. They inspected colonies, settlements, and rural areas affected by waterlogging, interacted with residents, and took note of their concerns. Pump sets were deployed at several locations for water drainage, drains were cleaned, and blocked roads were restored using machinery.
The administration has clarified that public safety is paramount, especially in low-lying and sensitive areas where strict monitoring is underway. Essential supplies including food, drinking water, and other assistance are being provided to affected families. Special measures have also been taken to safeguard livestock and ensure fodder and water availability in rural areas. The education department has been directed to focus on children’s safety in schools, while the health department has been instructed to maintain readiness with medicines and ambulance services.
Appealing to the public, Collector Dr. Soni urged residents to remain cautious during waterlogging and rain-related conditions. He advised against crossing flooded roads, bridges, or culverts, and asked parents to prevent children from going near waterlogged areas or drains. Citizens have also been urged to immediately inform the control room or local administration in case of any problem so that timely relief can be provided.
The flood control room can be contacted 24×7 at phone numbers 0141-2204475 and 0141-2204476. All complaints received are being addressed promptly and effectively.
