Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Inaugurates ‘Navgurukul’ for Girls’ Education and Values in Raigarh

Raipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated Navgurukul at Garh Umaria village in Kharsia tehsil of Raigarh district during his visit. On the occasion, he distributed laptops to newly admitted girl students, motivating them to pursue education and wishing them a bright future.

Inspecting the modern computer lab established at Navgurukul, the Chief Minister directed teachers to impart high-quality education along with value-based learning so that the girls can build a strong future.

Addressing the inaugural function, he first extended greetings on Ganesh Utsav, Teachers’ Day, and the Chakradhar Festival. He said that a teacher is a true nation-builder and deserves the highest respect in society. He recalled that last year, during the conclusion of the Chakradhar Festival, the Prayas Vidyalaya was inaugurated in Raigarh, and now the launch of Navgurukul is another step forward. He praised Finance Minister O. P. Choudhary, Navgurukul co-founder Ms. Nidhi and her team for this innovative initiative, and congratulated all the girls present.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is continuously working on job creation for youth and has introduced a new industrial policy to boost employment opportunities in the private sector. He particularly lauded Navgurukul for enabling placement-based employment for 150 girls in Jashpur district and encouraged further expansion of this effort.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao told the 120 girls admitted that their success reflects their talent and hard work. He urged them to move ahead with confidence, energy, passion, and perseverance, saying there is no room for despair in life.

Finance Minister O. P. Choudhary said that since the formation of the state government, continuous development work has been undertaken. He described Navgurukul as the need of the hour, dedicated especially to girls, and informed that a Nalanda campus worth ₹35 crore is under construction in Raigarh.

Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade motivated the students to acquire education in line with modern technology and evolving times.

Navgurukul co-founder Ms. Nidhi explained the institute’s teaching and training methods, stating that its aim is not only to provide technical education but also to make girls self-reliant and capable of excelling in all walks of life.

The event was attended by former MLA Vijay Agrawal, Gurupal Bhalla, Collector Mayank Chaturvedi, District Panchayat CEO Jitendra Yadav, public representatives, dignitaries, and a large number of students. All described the establishment of Navgurukul as a historic step for girls’ empowerment and education in the region.
