Lunglei District Disposal Committee Destroys Seized Heroin Worth ₹94,980

Lunglei, Sept 2025 : The Lunglei District Disposal Committee (DCC) destroyed 37.07 grams of heroin (No. 4 type) valued at ₹94,980 at the Lunglei AP Tlanga Incinerator Centre. The destruction was carried out under the leadership of the DCC Chairman, Lunglei District Superintendent of Police Pu J. Lalmuankima.

Members present during the disposal included the Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar), the Assistant Commissioner of Excise & Narcotics, and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer.

The heroin had been seized in connection with Lunglei Police Station Case No. 96/2025 dated 20.06.2025, registered under Section 21(b) of the ND&PS Act. The disposal was conducted following an order of approval from the Judicial Magistrate First Class-I, Lunglei.
