Lo Zawh Pui Festival to Be Held at Tualpui, Khawzawl District

Sept 2025 : The Tourism Department, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, and the Association of Tour Operators (ATOM) are jointly planning to organize the Lo Zawh Pui Festival at Tek Den Zau, Tualpui village, Khawzawl District, as a special attraction. On September 8 (Monday), Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar held a meeting in his office chamber regarding preparations.

The festival will take place on September 16, 2025, with active collaboration between ATOM and the Tualpui villagers.

The Tourism Minister said that through agro-tourism initiatives like Lo Zawh Pui, farmers and residents of Tualpui and nearby villages would gain more opportunities and economic benefits. He emphasized the importance of community participation, where locals not only showcase their agricultural practices but also ensure visitors experience genuine hospitality.

The event will also feature cultural performances and musical programs. Tualpui is the birthplace and hometown of Chief Minister Lalduhoma, and the village is expecting around 200 visitors for this year’s celebration.

Earlier this year, a similar Lo Zawh Pui festival was successfully organized at Hlumpui Zau, Hmuntha village, Serchhip District, jointly coordinated by the Tourism Department, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, and ATOM.
