Generations Are Educated Through the Education of Daughters: Chief Minister Sai
Raipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today launched the Azim Premji Scholarship Scheme from his official residence in the state capital, Raipur. Speaking at the event, he emphasized that “when daughters are educated, entire generations are educated.”

Under this scheme, girls who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from government schools in the state will receive financial assistance for higher education. Eligible students will get ₹30,000 annually to pursue studies in any recognized institution across the country.
Chief Minister Sai congratulated the Azim Premji Foundation, noting that the scholarship would give thousands of daughters the chance to realize their dreams. He said that over the past 25 years, Chhattisgarh has made remarkable progress, and daughters too have contributed significantly to the state’s growth. This initiative, he added, was designed to ensure that no girl has to discontinue her education due to financial difficulties.
The Chief Minister stressed that the scholarship would help increase the enrollment rate of girls in higher education and would also strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter). It particularly aims to support students from low-income families studying in government schools.
He remarked, “When daughters study, they not only uplift two families but educate entire generations.” He directed all colleges to spread wide awareness about the scheme.
