Serchhip DC Provides Financial Assistance to Volunteers for Recovering Missing Person’s Body
Serchhip, Sept 2025: The body of Henry Lalnunsanga (35), son of B. Kapliana of Kulikawn Veng, Aizawl, who had gone missing from Chhiahtlang village the previous evening, was recovered today by the combined efforts of the Chhiahtlang Village Council and YMA members with support from local residents. His body was discovered around 11:00 a.m. today in the Chhiahtlang North area.
After necessary formalities, the body was transported to Aizawl the same day.
On behalf of the Serchhip Deputy Commissioner’s Office, SDC Dr. Marilyn Lalruatkimi handed over a financial contribution of ₹10,000 to the YMA as an honorarium for the volunteers who took part in the recovery operation.
