Industry Sector Plays Key Role in State’s Economic Growth – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

MoUs Signed for Investment Worth ₹1.08 Lakh Crore; 47,000 Direct Jobs to be Created Across Sectors

Mumbai, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that investors and the industrial sector play a vital role in Maharashtra’s economic progress. He emphasized that the state government is consistently striving to meet the expectations of investors and industries, ensuring that entrepreneurs have a positive experience of investing in Maharashtra.

In the presence of Chief Minister Fadnavis at Sahyadri Guest House, MoUs worth ₹1,08,599 crore were signed for setting up industries, IT, food processing units, warehouses, data centers, and logistics hub projects across various locations in the state. These projects are expected to generate around 47,000 direct jobs. Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Industries Secretary P. Anbalagan, CEO of MIDC, senior officials of the Industries Department, and heads and representatives of several industry groups were present.

On behalf of the state government, Industries Secretary P. Anbalagan exchanged MoUs with Amarprakash Agrawal, Chairman of MGSA Realty; Abhishek Lodha, MD of Lodha Developers Ltd. for the Integrated Data Center Park; Ketan Modi, Executive Director of Reliance Consumer Products Ltd.; Ajit Barodia, Chairman of Adani Enterprises Ltd.; and Pranay Kothari, CEO of Polyplex Corporation Ltd.

MGSA Realty will invest ₹5,000 crore across different locations in Maharashtra for industrial warehouses, data centers, and logistics hubs, generating 10,000 jobs. Lodha Developers Ltd. will invest ₹30,000 crore in establishing a Green Integrated Data Center Park at Ambernath, Thane, creating employment for 6,000 youth.

Adani Enterprises Ltd. will invest ₹70,000 crore to set up an Integrated Coal Surface Gasification Downstream Derivatives Project at Linga in Kalmeshwar taluka, Nagpur district, expected to create 30,000 jobs. Polyplex Corporation Ltd. will invest ₹2,086 crore for a polymeric products project in Nandurbar, generating 600 jobs.

Reliance Consumer Products Ltd. will invest ₹1,513 crore to establish an integrated facility for food and beverage manufacturing at Katol, Nagpur, creating 500 jobs.
