Rahul Gandhi’s Heartwarming Gesture: Fulfills Cobbler’s Dream in Sultanpur

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has fulfilled a promise made to a cobbler in Sultanpur in less than twenty-four hours. On Friday, Rahul met Chetram, a cobbler, and inquired about his condition, offering his assistance. Today, Rahul Gandhi has provided a sewing machine to Chetram, which brought a smile to the cobbler’s face. The machine arrived with a team from Lucknow.

On July 26, while returning to Delhi from Sultanpur, Rahul Gandhi stopped his car at a cobbler’s shop in Ramchet. During this visit, he stitched shoes and slippers while conversing with Chetram. Rahul also spoke with Chetram’s son during this time. The sight of Rahul Gandhi sitting at the cobbler’s shop stunned onlookers, and hundreds of people gathered to catch a glimpse of him.

Rahul Gandhi was en route to Delhi via the Purvanchal Expressway after filing his statement in a defamation case at the Sultanpur court. However, his convoy suddenly stopped near the Mlala Nagar intersection of Kurebhar police station area on the Ayodhya-Prayagraj highway. He got out of the car and approached a cobbler’s shop named Ramchet. He sat next to Ramchet, engaging in conversation and learning about the employment and household conditions of Ramchet’s family.

Chetram, the cobbler, shared that Rahul touched the shoes they were sewing and inquired about the process. Rahul also asked about their livelihood and appealed for help. Today, when the sewing machine arrived for Chetram, his happiness knew no bounds. Additionally, Rahul Gandhi sent some money to him.

In return, Chetram has sent two pairs of shoes to Rahul. Advocate Varun Mishra, who was the Congress candidate for Napa, mentioned that Rahul’s gesture of giving the machine sends a strong message to the entire country and society that he stands with the poor and the downtrodden. Mishra added that Rahul’s sensitivity is exemplary and inspirational for others.
