₹150 Crore Allocated for ‘Ahilyanagar–Beed–Parli Vaijnath’ Railway Project

A Special Gift to Beed Residents from Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar on Marathwada Liberation Day

Mumbai, Sept 2025 : To accelerate the ambitious new broad-gauge railway line project ‘Ahilyanagar–Beed–Parli Vaijnath,’ which is set to be a game-changer for Beed district’s development, the state government has so far provided ₹2,091 crore. Adding to this, another ₹150 crore has now been sanctioned and disbursed. This funding will give further momentum to the project, with Deputy Chief Minister and Beed’s Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar presenting this allocation as a special gift to Beed residents on the occasion of Marathwada Liberation Day.

On September 17, marking Marathwada Liberation Day, the railway service on the Beed–Ahilyanagar section will be inaugurated. This historic event will fulfill a long-cherished dream of lakhs of citizens in Beed district.

The total cost of the 261 km-long ‘Ahilyanagar–Beed–Parli Vaijnath’ railway line is estimated at ₹4,805 crore, with the state government contributing 50% of the share. Of this, the state’s contribution amounts to ₹2,402 crore. Till date, ₹2,091.23 crore has already been made available by the state, and with the additional ₹150 crore disbursed on September 15, 2025—just two days before Marathwada Liberation Day—the project is set to gain further momentum. The newly sanctioned funds will be utilized as the state’s share for the Railway Department in the 2025–26 financial year.

Since assuming the role of Guardian Minister of Beed, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has placed special focus on developing the district’s infrastructure. He has actively promoted projects related to airports, railways, and road development by holding regular review meetings at divisional, district, and ministerial levels, ensuring effective coordination between departments. These efforts have significantly boosted the ambitious ‘Ahilyanagar–Beed–Parli Vaijnath’ project.

On Marathwada Liberation Day, the launch of the Beed–Ahilyanagar railway service will directly benefit lakhs of citizens of Beed district.

Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar expressed confidence, stating:
“The Ahilyanagar–Beed–Parli Vaijnath railway line will give a new thrust to development for farmers, students, entrepreneurs, traders, and the general public of Beed, Ahilyanagar, and Parli Vaijnath regions. This route will attract investment, create employment opportunities, and improve connectivity. My consistent effort is to expedite this project for the overall development of Beed district. This transformative project will change the face of Beed and mark the beginning of a new journey of progress in people’s lives.”
