Delhi: MCD Seals 13 Illegal Coaching Centers After Student Deaths.

In response to the tragic death of three students due to flooding at RAU’S IAS Coaching Center in Old Rajendra Nagar, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has taken swift action. Heavy rains on Saturday evening caused rapid inundation of the basement, leading to the deaths. The police have arrested Abhishek Gupta, the owner, and coordinator of the center, as the investigation continues.

On Sunday, MCD officials began sealing multiple illegal coaching centers operating in basements. Notices were also posted on the premises. Mayor Shelly Oberoi announced that this action targets coaching centers violating building bylaws and norms. The sealing campaign, which started in Rajendra Nagar, may extend throughout Delhi.

So far, 13 coaching centers have been sealed, including:

Mayor Oberoi emphasized that strict action will be taken against any coaching center found violating MCD regulations.
