1 Crore Beloved Sisters Will Be Made ‘Lakhpati Didis’ – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
State-level Launch of ‘Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayati Raj Abhiyan’ at Kingaon
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Sept 2025 : In every village, through the district bank, beloved sisters will be given an interest-free loan of one lakh rupees and the government will provide them financial support. With that, by doing industry and business, they will become self-reliant. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today expressed determination to make one crore beloved sisters in the state into Lakhpati Didis.
The ambitious ‘Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayati Raj Abhiyan’ of the Government of Maharashtra was inaugurated today at the state level at Kingaon (Tal. Phulambri) in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district by the hands of the Chief Minister. The program was organized on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and Marathwada Liberation Struggle Day. In all the gram panchayats of the state, from September 17 to December 31, the ‘Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayati Raj Abhiyan’ will be implemented.
This ceremony organized in the premises of Devgiri Cooperative Sugar Factory at Kingaon was attended by Minister of Social Justice and Guardian Minister of the district Sanjay Shirsat, Minister of Rural Development Jaykumar Gore, MPs Dr. Kalyan Kale and Sandipan Bhumre, former Union Minister of State Raosaheb Danve, MLAs Sanjay Kenekar, Prashant Bamb, Ramesh Bornare, MLA Anuradha Chavan, MLA Sanjana Jadhav, Principal Secretary of Rural Development Department Eknath Davle, Divisional Commissioner Jitendra Papalkar, Mallinath Kalashetti, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Ankit, as well as ideal village Hivre Bazar Sarpanch Popatrao Pawar, President of Sarpanch Parishad Datta Kakde, Avinash Pol of Pani Foundation, and other dignitaries.
Core of the Campaign is People’s Participation
Chief Minister Fadnavis, at the beginning of his speech, greeted the gathering on Marathwada Liberation Struggle Day. Expressing determination that Marathwada will also be freed from drought, Chief Minister Fadnavis said that the Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayati Raj Abhiyan is a campaign that will deliver the benefits of schemes through implementation and will teach every villager to live with self-respect. The root core of this campaign is people’s participation.
Financial Assistance for Beloved Sisters for Industry and Business
Chief Minister Fadnavis said that our beloved sisters should not have to depend only on ₹1500/-. By giving them financial assistance for industry and business through women self-help groups, the beloved sisters will be empowered. In every village, by starting a credit society of beloved sisters and through the district bank giving them interest-free loans of one lakh rupees, the government will stand behind them. In this way, one crore beloved sisters in the state will be made Lakhpati Didis, such a resolution was expressed by the Chief Minister on this occasion.
Transformation of People’s Lives Under Prime Minister Modi’s Leadership
On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, ‘Seva Pakhwada’ is being implemented, and for that the Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayati Raj Abhiyan has been started. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the country has progressed and 25 crore people have come above the poverty line. Today, 15 crore people could get their own house. Transformation has come in people’s lives – all this has happened under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, said the Chief Minister.
28,000 Gram Panchayats to be Made Models of Development
Many schemes and campaigns of rural development have come, but only selected villages moved ahead in them. Now through this Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayati Raj Abhiyan, a prosperous Maharashtra will be created from every village. To ensure that no village is left behind in such competitions, this campaign has been started. In this campaign, all the schemes of central and state governments will be implemented in the villages. Through that, 28,000 gram panchayats and 40,000 villages in the state will be developed as models, said Chief Minister Fadnavis.
Strengthening of Cooperation Sector Too
This scheme has seven main pillars. Through them – Panchayat with good governance, reaching schemes to every beneficiary, making water-rich villages, making every village clean and water-rich, tree plantation, convergence of MNREGA and other schemes for village development – all will be achieved. To strengthen the economy of the village, along with strengthening institutions, 17 industries/businesses will be given to village service institutions, and through that the cooperative sector will also be strengthened, said Chief Minister Fadnavis.
First Scheme in the Country Giving ₹250 Crore Prizes
Chief Minister Fadnavis said that the gram panchayats succeeding in this competition will be given as much as ₹250 crore in prizes. This is the first such scheme in the country giving so much prize money.
Campaign to Remind of Dormant Power
Through this campaign, change will be brought in the lives of deprived sections. For that, people’s participation is important. By living together in unity in the village, we will bring prosperity. In many villages of the state, people are bringing transformation by making different efforts. AI is being used in the agriculture sector. In each of us there is this dormant power to bring transformation. This campaign is to remind us of that dormant power. Every villager should consider this campaign as his own, participate in it, and create a capable Maharashtra. From today this competition has started, in such words Chief Minister Fadnavis appealed to the gathering.
Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore gave the introduction. He gave detailed information about this campaign. He said that in this campaign, at the taluka level, gram panchayats doing excellent work will get first prize of ₹15 lakh, second of ₹12 lakh, and third of ₹8 lakh. At the district level, first ₹50 lakh, second ₹30 lakh, and third ₹20 lakh. At the state level, first ₹5 crore, second ₹3 crore, and third ₹2 crore will be awarded.
The program began with lamp lighting.
Rural Development Minister Gore welcomed the Chief Minister. On this occasion, beneficiaries were given benefits by the hands of the Chief Minister. The website of the campaign was inaugurated and the campaign was launched. A film giving information about the campaign and showing the development of Kingaon was released and screened in the program.
Ideal village sarpanch Popatrao Pawar and Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat expressed their thoughts on this occasion. Principal Secretary Eknath Davle gave a vote of thanks. Nita Pansare conducted the program.
All 880 gram panchayats of the district participated online in this ceremony. Also, on this occasion, special gram sabhas were organized in all gram panchayats. It was also informed that on the previous day, i.e., September 16, special women’s gram sabhas were organized across the state.
