Grand Launch of “Healthy Women – Empowered Families” Campaign in Alwar.

Sept 2025 : Union Minister for Environment and Forests, Shri Bhupender Yadav, along with Minister of State for Forests and Environment, Shri Sanjay Sharma, inaugurated the health and blood donation camp under the “Healthy Women – Empowered Families” campaign at the Government Sub-District Hospital, Ramgarh, Alwar district, on Wednesday. They encouraged the participating blood donors and closely observed the medical facilities being provided, especially for women, during the camp.

Union Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav described the campaign as an innovative initiative aimed at improving the health of mothers and women. He highlighted that the camps provide screening, diagnosis, and treatment for various diseases, with all medicines being completely free. He emphasized that the health of mothers ensures the health of the entire family and urged women to take full advantage of the ongoing health services at these camps.

Review of Tourism and Cleanliness Achievements in Alwar District

Shri Yadav congratulated the district for securing 54th position in the cleanliness survey and third rank in the clean air survey. He stressed the need to further build on these achievements, noting that success requires both government efforts and active public participation. During the cleanliness fortnight, he suggested launching awareness campaigns involving citizens, business groups, and social organizations.

Shri Yadav highlighted Alwar’s immense potential in tourism development and urged the preparation of an action plan starting with the Matsya Festival and Baba Bhartṛhari Maharaj Fair. He instructed the District Tourism Officer to prepare a detailed plan for the Matsya Festival within a week, including a Motivational Book Festival at Moti Dungri and exhibitions of handicrafts and folk arts from the district. He also emphasized that the Baba Bhartṛhari Fair should follow all eco-friendly, plastic-free, and sanitation norms.

Looking ahead, Shri Yadav announced that an international-level Alwar Tiger Marathon will be organized on 8 February to place Alwar prominently on the global tourism map.
