Guardian Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar inaugurates Mobile Setu Centre in the district
Mumbai, Sept 2025 : Under the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Revenue Campaign, from the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2025, to the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, 2025, as part of the Seva Pakhwada (Fortnight of Service) campaign, Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban District Adv. Ashish Shelar inaugurated the Mobile Setu Centre to distribute Aadhaar kits and provide doorstep services to citizens.
Guardian Minister Adv. Shelar said that taking inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has created India’s identity on the world stage and served in the role of Pradhan Sevak (Chief Servant), this initiative of distributing Aadhaar kits as part of the service campaign is commendable. He added that the Mobile Setu Centre, which will reach out to tribals, the Koli community in fishing villages, slum dwellers, and common citizens to deliver services at their doorstep, is also highly praiseworthy. Congratulating the Mumbai Suburban District Collector’s Office for launching an advanced Setu service centre, he announced that this service will be made available during the fortnight. At the event, 36 Aadhaar kits were distributed.
In his introductory remarks, Mumbai Suburban District Collector Saurabh Katiyar said that under this campaign, facility centres at Borivali, Kurla, and Andheri tehsil offices are being upgraded and modernized. Additionally, 374 new Aaple Sarkar service centres are being started ward-wise across the district. For the first time, the Mobile Setu Centre has been launched in the district to ensure citizens receive services promptly, and Aadhaar enrolment kits are being distributed to strengthen Aadhaar centres. Moreover, all certificates are being made available to citizens instantly through WhatsApp to ensure timely delivery of services.
