Aizawl, Sept 2025: Today, Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma met Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), at his office. The discussion focused on the establishment of the Mizoram Entrepreneurship Development Institute (MEDI).
The Chief Minister said that while various consultations have already been held, there is a need for more extensive coordination and joint discussions. He added that a Coordination Committee will be set up to work actively and ensure proper follow-up.

He further mentioned that within about eight years, MEDI could also develop a permanent campus with hostels and other necessary facilities.
The EDII was established in 1983 and has its headquarters at Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Over the years, it has set up Entrepreneurship Development Centres in several states across India.
