CM Bhajanlal Sharma Announces New Training Facility at RPA; Emphasises Crime Control, Women Empowerment, and Technological Policing at 55th RPS Batch Convocation

Jaipur, Sept 2025 – Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma on Friday said that police training not only imparts knowledge of law but also strengthens communication, cooperation, and team spirit, shaping officers into ideal leaders. He reiterated that maintaining law and order and controlling crime is the government’s top priority, and assured that the state is committed to strengthening this system further in the coming times.

He was addressing the convocation parade ceremony of the 55th batch of Rajasthan Police Service (RPS) probationers at the Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA), Jaipur. Congratulating the 76 probationers of the batch, he praised their hard work and perseverance. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced the construction of a new training building at the RPA to provide advanced training facilities, particularly in cybercrime, financial crimes, and technical resources.

Women Police Officers: A Source of Inspiration

CM Sharma highlighted that women’s empowerment is the government’s top priority. The growing participation of women in the Rajasthan Police stands as direct evidence. He expressed pride that 20 of the 76 probationers are women, noting that women officers not only strengthen the force but also inspire society at large.

Need for Technological Competence in Policing

The Chief Minister said that as the nature of crime continues to evolve with organised crime and cyber threats, the police must remain vigilant, updated, and well-trained. Alongside traditional policing, technical skills, cyber security expertise, and digital forensics knowledge have become essential.

Integrity: The Strongest Weapon of Police

Shri Sharma stressed that honesty is the most powerful weapon of the police. Officers must work with patience and restraint, free from external pressure. He underlined that policing is teamwork, and unity, trust, and brotherhood among colleagues multiply collective strength to face any challenge.

Significant Reduction in Crime

Highlighting the government’s efforts, the Chief Minister said several concrete steps have been taken to maintain law and order. Since 2023, crime rates have declined by 19.45%. Atrocities against Scheduled Castes have decreased by 17.80%, against Scheduled Tribes by 18.77%, and crimes against women by 9.24%. He added that active policing has directly contributed to this decline.

Director General of Police Shri Rajeev Kumar Sharma assured that under the Chief Minister’s leadership, Rajasthan Police is committed to maintaining strong law and order and adapting to new challenges through technological innovation, faster investigation, and skill development.
