Over 18,000 Police Personnel of CM Yogi’s UP Police Conduct Bike Rally Across the State

Bike rally conducted in all districts with the objective of further strengthening the sense of safety, respect, and confidence among women

Hashtag #MissionShakti5 received massive public support, trending in top five for several hours

DGP said, under CM Yogi’s guidance, the rally was conducted to take “Safety and Respect, Women’s Right” to every citizen

Lucknow, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Mission Shakti 5 on Saturday. During this, he had given instructions to conduct bike rallies in all districts of the state with the aim of further strengthening the sense of safety, respect, and confidence among women. In accordance with CM Yogi’s intent, the Uttar Pradesh Police Department organized bike rallies across the state involving approximately 18,000 female officers and employees of various ranks.

Roads resonated with slogans of safety and respect
DGP Rajeev Krishna stated that on CM Yogi’s instructions, female police personnel took to the roads with bikes from Sunday morning in all districts. Roads echoed with slogans like “Safety and Respect, Women’s Right.” At various places, the general public welcomed the rally with applause and flower showers, reinforcing the commitment to women’s safety. In his address, the CM had said, “Women’s safety and respect are our government’s highest priority.” This bike rally was organized to communicate this message to every citizen. At Lok Bhavan, the CM had inaugurated Mission Shakti centers in all 1,663 police stations of the state. Along with this, the Empowered Women, Prosperous State folder and helpline numbers related to women’s safety were also released. Special instructions were also given for women’s safety during Navratri and upcoming festivals.

Police participation strengthened public confidence
The police bike rally made it clear that women’s safety is no longer solely the government’s responsibility but a shared commitment of the entire society. During the bike rally, senior police and administrative officers, public representatives, and ministers from all districts actively participated, lending support to the campaign. The active participation of administration and police strengthened public trust.

#MissionShakti5 trended in the top five for several hours
DGP stated that photos and videos of all bike rallies were shared and posted on social media platforms by all districts of the Uttar Pradesh Police. In this sequence, #MissionShakti5 was shared by the state police on the social media platform X. This hashtag was listed at 4 PM on 21 September and reached number 1 in the top trending list within a short time. Along with this hashtag, other keywords such as Women Police, Women Power, Mission Shakti also appeared in the trending list. From 4 PM to 6:30 PM, #MissionShakti5 consistently remained in the top 5 trending list. So far, over 23,000 tweets have been made using this hashtag, achieving approximately 28 million reach and 384 million impressions.
