IT Department to be Strengthened – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
Mumbai, Sept 2025 – Information Technology is a crucial department within the General Administration Department, as it provides services of various state government departments to citizens. Hence, the IT department will now be strengthened, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced today.
A review meeting of the IT Department was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Fadnavis. Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department O.P. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department V. Radha, Principal Secretary of the Planning Department Saurabh Vijay, Principal Secretary of the IT Department Parag Jain, along with other senior officials were present.
The Chief Minister said the state government is determined to strengthen the IT Department and realize the vision of a “Digital Maharashtra.” He further stated that the government’s priority is to make all government services available in digital form, while also expanding the use of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Cybersecurity.
